LinkedIn Reaches 300 Million Users 

LinkedIn revealed last week it now has 300 million registered users, which is a big move up from 277 million members at the start of 2014. LinkedIn touched the 200 million-user mark in January 2013 that means the company has introduced an average of 6.6 million new users per month in the last 15 months. Linked makes use of the “engagement number” developed by comScore to gauge the active users. 
 
Kiran Prasad, the senior director of mobile engineering at LinkedIn said:
"The primary purpose of that is to just enable a larger and larger portion of our engineering workforce to be able to be mobile-enabled. If it takes five seconds for you to load the primary screen, that's like a huge chunk of your experience immediately gone. Especially in international environments where the carrier networks aren't super duper fast, speed is going to be literally one of our primary primary concerns for mobile."
LinkedIn has just launched their site in the Chinese language for China market.  This decision is aimed at harnessing greater leverage outside the US market. In total, 300 million users of Linkedin are based outside the U.S.  Apart from focusing on mobile, the company intends to improve element that elevates 300-million user base. With many apps now obtainable and more anticipated later this year, there's a high probability that its 400 million mark may be LinkedIn’s next target.
