Simple Steps to Tagging Photos on Twitter

Now, this is not the latest innovation by Twitter. In fact, they rolled out this update in March. However unlike on Facebook, not many users have been making use of this social sharing option on Twitter. Like tagging on Facebook improves the visibility of your post on Facebook, it does the same on Twitter. Hence after three months of this feature being made available by Twitter, we are giving a simple guide to tagging people on Twitter. Here goes…

1) Log into Twitter on your mobile app or desktop and click on the quill icon that exists on the top right corner.

2) That click will give you two options – take a picture or select one from your photo library.

3) Once you are okay with the picture, type out the tweet you want to post.

4) You have an option below your picture that says, “Who’s in this photo”. Click on that option.

5) A list of various people will show up under your tweet. The order of this least is directly proportional to the level of your interaction with them.

6) You can also type out the name or handle of the person you want to tag.

7) You can select up to 10 people.

8) If the person you want to tag has disabled the option for users he/she doesn’t follow to allow them to tag in picture, you will see that notification right next to the name of that particular user.

9) When you are done tagging, click on the button that says “Done” on the right corner above.

10) That click will show you the draft of the tweet including the name of the person/s to be tagged below the picture you selected. You can either post the tagged pictures along with the content or without it.
